DIAGNÓSTICO E INVESTIGACIÓN DE LA CALIGIDOSIS

MISSION

To conduct the strategic research of the highest scientific level that allows supporting the sanitary management and in this way this, to improve the competitiveness of the national aquaculture.

OBJECTIVES

To study the resistance of the sea lice to antiparasitic compounds, the epidemiology of Caligus, and the modeling of control strategies.

To study within the first years of activity of the LCR the molecular bases of the resistance, its epidemiological determinants and spatial and temporal distribution.

To develop epidemiological models to evaluate pharmacological control strategies (among others) at culture center and area levels (ACS).

To form the first ceparium and genetic bank of Caligus for the monitoring of genomic diversity and its association with pharmacological resistance.
